National Guard Association of South Carolina

A professional association for the South Carolina National Guard made up of officers and enlisted National Guardsmen, active and retired. The Association was established in 1947 to promote the National Guard, educate the public about America’s Armed Forces and initiate legislative issues concerning the Guard

The NGASC offers many programs and benefits for members including:

  • Group Life Insurance

  • Education scholarships for guardsmen and their families

  • A Newsletter "Palmetto Guard Association News

  • Annual Conference

The two groups that work on the national level to make sure the National Guard message is heard are the National Guard Association of the United States (NGAUS) and the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States (EANGUS).

It is vital that all Guardsmen belong to one of these organizations to strengthen their collective power and influence over legislative issues and to keep the Guard community strong. For more information on programs and benefits contact the NGASC office at (803) 254-8456 or 1-800-822-3235.
